HR Analyst/Recruiter

We are looking for a dedicated HR Analyst/Recruiter to join our HR team. The responsibilities of the HR Analyst/Recruiter include assisting in talent acquisition, the recruitment process, sourcing candidates, conducting screening interviews, developing job descriptions with hiring managers and working with the Chief People Officer in handling all HR needs


  • Position location: Suffern, NY; Hybrid after successful training
  • Expected hours of work: This is a full-time position. Generally, work is performed Monday through Friday, though holidays and weekends may be required

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department managers to compile a list of requirements to develop and finalize position descriptions
  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures
  • Recommend strategies for improving employee and candidate relations
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff. Ensure al onboarding is successful
  • Perform background and reference checks on new hires
  • Attract and communicate with suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, internship programs, and other methods to expand the applicant pools
  • Work with and manage external recruiters as applicable
  • Sort through resumes and applicants to move forward the best people
  • Conduct screening interviews including both technical and non-technical positions to fill open positions
  • Assess applicants’ behavioral and technical knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions
  • Manage internship program and booth at Career Fairs
  • Provide recruitment status reports to management team
  • Actively contribute to HR and organizational planning
  • Represent LS Direct as a desirable employer at all times


We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant job experience and certifications
  • Preference for 2 years experience with recruitment process, methods, and databases
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office, and related HR software
  • Knowledge of recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn, Paychex Flex, Zip Recruiter, and HireRight a plus
